Samsung Unviels New Smartphone Galaxy S5

Samsung Galaxy S5 is the smartphone that drawn much attention towards MWC 2014 with much of the expectations and speculations from many followed by Unpacked 5 event, finally unvieled by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd today and made a splendid entry into the mobile market.

With lots of recent leaks and rumors, most of them confirmed, the handset is of 5.1 inches super AMOLED screen displayig 1920 x 1080 pixels  resolution and built to be powered by 2.5 GHz Quadcore  Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, really a powerful processor and run on latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. Reasonable 2GB RAM would make Galaxy S5 more powerful to handle even heavy processing sessions like games and image editing.

The device has a rich 16MP rear camera with the ability to click pictures at 4k pixels and have all the required features like HDR, touch focus, geo-tagging, image stabilization, face and smile detection. And the phone supports recording videos at UHD quality @30fps. Also have a 2.0MP front camera that can record videos of 1080p@30fps for high quality video calling and chatting.

The dimensions of the phone are 142.0 x 72.5 x 8.1mm and weighs about 145g, has a powerful 2800mAh battery which will give a talk time up to 21 hrs and standby up to 390 hrs.

Samsung Galaxy S5 comes in variable internal memory capacities i.e, 16GB and 32GB along with microSD card slot which can expand it by up to 64 GB. The phone has all the connectivity options that a smartphone shall have i.e, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GPRS, EDGE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac HT80, MIMO(2x2) and microUSB 3.0. And comming to the Networks, the device supports most of the 2G, 3G bands and also 4G LTE Cat 4 bands (depends on various markets) with speeds up to 150/50 Mbps.

Fingerprint recognition technology is another feature that gives Galaxy S5 more value which makes users register the impressions of the fingers and later link them for phone security.
